Even if you’re not a master figure skater, ice skating is a winter tradition that just about everyone loves. Open now through February, an urban skating rink in the center of Dilworth Park will provide city dwellers with a place to skate right in downtown Philadelphia. The temporary rink features walls around its edges that provide a place to hold onto for inexperienced skaters, and it is situated next to the park’s scenic fountains and benches where non-skaters can observe the festivities. Admission costs just $3 for children and $4 for adults, making the Dilworth Park ice skating rink one of the more affordable outdoor activities that you can enjoy this winter near Edgewater.
The Dilworth Park ice rink is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
