The Edgewater community is truly on the edge of everything. The Edgewater’s ideal location places you at the epicenter of some of the city’s biggest festivals and events, including the ongoing and much anticipated Philly FringeFest.
The 2016 FringeArts Festival has returned for its 20th Anniversary season. FringeArts is local arts collective that offers exposer to innovative dance, music, and art around the Philadelphia area. FringeArts hosts various events, galleries, and shows throughout the year, culminating in the FringeFest, a full out arts explosion now taking place in venues across the city.
FringeFest will run until September 24 within more than a dozen neighborhoods in and around the city. This year’s Fest boasts a lineup that features more art exhibits, installations, and dance than ever before, including 15 major productions curated especially by FringeArts, over 150 independently produced shows, a full-slate of late night entertainment and events, and a massive selection of online-only artwork.
FringeFest events are literally popping up all over the city, from the FringeArts headquarters on the Delaware River to Northwest Philly. FringeFest is placing a particular emphasis on visual art, including collaborations with major art museums like the The Barnes Foundation and Philadelphia Museum of Art, all within walking distance from Edgewater!
