We’ve talked about The Moore College of Art and all of the insightful and interesting exhibits taking place there. However, not too far from the Moore College is one of the College’s better known galleries, the Goldie Paley Gallery.
The Goldie Paley Gallery, established in 1983, has emerged among the city’s Art galleries as an experimental, international exhibition and publications program. The Gallery currently features both solo and group exhibitions, in a wide variety of media, by both emerging established national and internationally known artists.
The next major event to hit the Paley Gallery is the “Time Capsules in Reagan County”, an interactive double feature exhibition taking place on November 3rd beginning at 6:30pm.
For the first portion of the exhibit, attendees are invited to fill the Gallery time capsule with a drawing of yourself in 2016 a letter to the year 2028. For the second portion of the exhibit, attendees are invited to a screening of the Moore produced film, “Future Perfect: Time Capsules in Reagan Country” a film that discusses the importance of time capsules and learning from the past to appreciate the future. This and all events held at the Paley Gallery are free and open to the public.
The Goldie Paley Gallery is a 7 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the Edgewater located at 20th Street and Ben Franklin Parkway.
