When the temperature drops, there’s no doubt about it – it becomes a bit more difficult to find ways to have fun. However, just because it’s cold doesn’t mean that there aren’t things to do near your Edgewater apartment. Here are some ideas of things you can do this weekend:
The Philadelphia Art Museum, which is housed inside a landmark building and has a world-renowned collection, is a great indoor activity for a chilly day and is located only two miles from your Edgewater apartment.
The Constitution Center, a nonprofit, nonpartisan institution devoted to explaining the United States Constitution, is a great way to keep your mind off the cold for a few hours. It’s located only about two and a half miles from your Edgewater apartment.
The Franklin Institute, a science museum and the center of science education and research in the city, is currently featuring a very cool exhibit on dinosaurs that will entertain the whole family this winter. Located only half a mile from your Edgewater apartment, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Blue Cross RiverRink, which is currently celebrating its 23rd year as an outdoor ice skating rink, certainly won’t get you out of the cold but you will warm up quite a bit darting around the rink – and picking up some hot chocolate and other refreshments right outside of it. Located right on the Delaware River, it’s about three and a half miles from your Edgewater apartment.
And if none of these sound good, then don’t feel guilty staying at home curled up in your warm and cozy Edgewater apartment!
