Head to Center City Restaurant Week until Feb. 3

Edgewater residents are well aware that Philadelphia is certainly a foodie’s dream, full of every kind of cuisine from French to Filipino and everything in between. And now that Center City Restaurant Week is here, which is when participating restaurants will offer three-course dinner meals for $35 per person and lunch meals for $20 per person, Edgewater residents have the chance to sample them all until Feb. 3 for a fraction of the cost.

If you’re eager to try some new restaurants near your Edgewater apartment, then check out some of the following:, a stylish American bistro that offers seasonal small plates and craft beers in a white-oak-lined space, is located at 135 S 18th Street which is only a mile from your Edgewater apartment. For dinner, check out their grilled octopus, which includes sweet potato, spiced pistachio and coriander yogurt or their grilled dourade, which includes crispy sunchoke, fennel puree and pickled onion.

Common Wealth Old City, which serves South Carolina fare and whiskey cocktails in a brick and pressed-tin–lined dining room, is located at 319 Market Street, which is only three miles from your Edgewater apartment. At this low-country inspired eatery, try their shellfish and grits, which are seared shrimp and scallops, roasted tomatoes, lobster etoufee and Anson Mills grits.

La Peg, a lofty American brasserie set in a converted historic pump house with a huge patio, is located at 140 N Christopher Columbus Blvd, which is about two miles away from your Edgewater apartment. On their menu, try the clam bake, which includes half lobster, top neck clams, mussels, potatoes, sausage, corn and broth or the lamb ribs, which include braised and grilled ribs, Hushpuppies, garlic aioli, barbecue sauce and green beans.
