Our Guide to Philly Wine Week 2017

Food - wine bottles

Mark your calendars! March 19th through the 26th is the fourth annual Philly Wine Week, and we are already getting our corkscrews ready. This year you can expect over 50 venues with events and specials planned. The fun goes on for eight consecutive days, and there is something to do in everyone’s price range. What’s even better is that The Edgewater is conveniently located to several of the venues hosting wine events.

The Academy of Natural Sciences – Just a ten-minute walk from our building, this museum hosts the huge annual Philly Wine Week kickoff party. Always a source of intrigue, beauty, and knowledge, we can’t think of a better reason to go visit this amazing Philly resource. There’s just something about sipping wine amongst the fossilized skeletons of dinosaurs that make it so enticing.

London Grill – Less than a twenty-minute walk from The Edgewater is a delectable and slightly posh take on the classic American pub. All year round they feature an infamous “Paris Wine Bar”, but for Philly Wine Week they go above and beyond for wine lovers of all kind. This year, London Grill has already announced a jazz and draft wine weekend, half priced wine Thursday, an unlimited mimosa brunch, and much more.

The Rittenhouse – Located right on beautiful Rittenhouse Square, The Rittenhouse hotel will be a host of some of Philly Wine Week’s more educational and interactive events. It’s only a twenty-minute walk from The Edgewater, so there’s no excuse to miss cool events like their “Mystery Wine Blind Tasting”.

Whether you are an experienced connoisseur or just a novice, there is something to excite everyone. Happy Wine Week!
