fourth of july fireworks

There aren’t many places where the Fourth of July is more celebrated than in Philadelphia. After all, this is where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 at the now landmark, Carpenter’s Hall. The city is bursting with exciting events, and Edgewater Apartments is in the midst of all the fun. Lucky for residents, you won’t have to travel far to visit some of the area’s most premier activities. Dust off your red, white, and blue, because Independence Day is here and we compiled this awesome list so you can take the holiday by storm.

Party on the Parkway- Just steps from your Edgewater Apartment, you can party all day for free on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Attendees can expect a zipline, obstacle course, food vendors, and two separate pop-up beer gardens. By the step of the art museums, a large stage will host a diverse lineup of musical acts including Mary J. Blige. Like all great Fourth of July parties, the event festivities will be wrapped up by a thrilling display of fireworks.

Historic District Block Party- On July 3rd head over to the city’s most historic neighborhood for an exciting block party. Located in Old City, it’s a great spot to stroll through while exploring the area’s monuments and museums. Attendees can expect vendors, freebies, entertainment, and food. It doesn’t cost anything, so why not stop by?

The United States of America’s Independence Day Parade- One of the city’s older traditions, this parade is quite large and understandably epic. Featuring thousands of participants, the Independence Day Parade is something you don’t want to miss. Show up for 10am and see the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony at Independence Hall before the parade’s kickoff.
