Presidents Day is right around the corner and it’s time to figure out just how you are going to celebrate this national holiday (and the days off that come with it). Philadelphia is a great place to spend Presidents Day weekend, the city is filled with a lot of the American history that this special time commemorates. Originally created for our nation’s first leader’s birthday, George Washington, we can’t think of a better place to be for this historic holiday than the actual birthplace of our nation. We encourage you to take this opportunity to explore the city’s many historical museums and landmarks. Edgewater apartments are in a great location to take advantage of all the weekend has in store, so we made this quick guide to some cool spots and events worth checking out this President’s Day weekend.

National Constitution Center Presidential Festival – Always a great spot to visit, The National Constitution Center is going above and beyond for President’s Day Weekend. Events are scheduled all day every day as a part of their Presidential Festival. Also, museum admission is free on February 19th.

Museum of the American Revolution – There will be plenty of fun stuff scheduled at the Museum of the American Revolution. Throughout the weekend, visitors can participate in special interactive exhibits. There is even a “Breakfast with George Washington” to celebrate his birthday on Sunday.

President’s House Site – Is there anything more relevant for Presidents Day weekend than visiting the President’s House site. Located in Independence National Historical Park, this outdoor exhibit features the foundation of a house President Washington and Adams once lived and worked in.
